First, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was written.

Then, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator was written.

Lastly, a book called Charlie Bucket and the White House was supposed to end the trilogy — but it was never finished.

If your children have read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, they know that the book ends with Charlie, his grandfather, and Mr. Wonka in a glass elevator.

We love our hard copy of Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, but we also love our audiobook version of the story!

Audiobooks are a great way to enhance your children’s lives with as much literature as possible.

It opens up a world of literature to them that they may not have been able to enjoy if they’re too young to read more challenging books.

It’s also a wonderful convenience — we may not have the time to read hours of books in one sitting to our children each day, but an audiobook recording can do just that!

My children love their Yoto players! They have Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator as a Yoto card.

If you’re interested in this audiobook recording and do NOT have a yoto player, you can find it here!

Audiobook or no audiobook, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy these free printable activities!

Let’s look a little deeper at what’s included in the PDF.

This maze will keep your child engaged with the story, without distracting them from the storyline!

Board Game

Convincing Charlie’s grandparents to climb aboard the Great Glass Elevator is met with plenty of protest!

Your child will build and play their very own board game based off this problem in the book!

Print the game board, the player pieces, and the die.

You may find it helpful to print this section of the PDF on thick cardstock so that the player pieces stand up well.

Assemble each piece as instructed on the page.

The game is for 2 – 4 players — perfect for just parent and child, or a whole group of siblings to play!

You will play as Charlie’s grandparents! It’s a race to the finish line!
