About Quiet Life Farm
Hello to you! I’m so happy to have you here! My name is Emeline — I’m the face behind Quiet Life Farm. I’m married to the love of my life, and together we have 5 precious children. Together, we live on our family’s farm where we garden and raise fiber sheep, goats, Jersey cows, chickens, ducks, geese, alongside our very fluffy cats. I would love to tell you more about myself and Quiet Life Farm.
I have always loved to make things by hand. From food from scratch, sewing, and knitting — I love to have a deep and tangible connection with every day life. Toymaking has a special place in my heart, as I love to see my children’s faces light up when I hand them a new toy I made for them.
I began sharing my own sewing and knitting designs with others, and since then, my patterns have been made on all corners of the world — something I will be deeply and forever grateful for! This corner has grown beyond my wildest imaginations, and I am truly thankful for each and every one of you!
I love to create and share my free patterns with others, so that sewing and knitting can be accessible all around the world. Free patterns are where my heart is, and I love seeing what you have made and hearing your stories!
I do all my sewing work on my 1904 Standard treadle sewing machine. I enjoy the simplistic and reliable design of the treadle. I’ve loving named my faithful sewing machine “Goldie.” (as in the Gold Standard)

I love to knit, and love raising our fiber sheep and goats. I use their wool in all of my toymaking, and I also spin the fiber into our own homegrown yarn.
When I’m not working on new patterns, I’m usually outside working in the garden, playing with the children, cooking up something in the kitchen, homeschooling, fellowshipping with friends, playing piano, or spinning away on my spinning wheel.
Welcome to our quiet life. I hope that this quiet life community we have built helps inspire you and your family to embrace quiet life living, no matter where your roots are!
