Reusable Fill-able Fabric Valentine’s Treat Hearts

It’s a great project to use with your scrap fabric.
They’re very quick to make — which means you can easily whip up a bunch in no time!
Make a bunch to hand out as a unique handmade Valentine’s Day gift, or use them for a Valentine’s Day egg hunt around the house!
This is an easy sewing pattern, suitable for beginners!

Supplies Needed:
- Small amount of fabric
- Sewing Machine
- Free Pattern (print at the bottom of the page!)
Step 1: Print Your Pattern!

This pattern can be printed on any standard home printer.
The PDF is 2 pages long, and there’s no assembling the pattern — each template prints as one single piece.
Cut out your pattern pieces.
Cut Your Fabric
Next, you’ll want to cut out your fabric.
First, cut out the front of your heart.
The front of the heart is just one piece.
Trace your template, then cut your heart.
Next, you’ll want to cut out two pieces for the back.
Fold your fabric before cutting out the two back pieces.
This will give you a left and right side of each back piece.
Step 3: Sew!
Next, you’ll want to hem the flat center edge of each back piece.
Fold down the flat edge twice over to conceal the raw edges, and sew across.
Repeat for both back pieces.
Then, lay the back pieces right sides together with the front piece.
The hemmed centers of each back piece should slightly overlap.
Sew around the heart, using a 3/8″ seam allowance. (see photo above!)
Turn right side out, and iron flat.
You can use these hearts to fill with your favorite Valentine’s Day treats, sweet letters, etc!
