What’s included
Included is my original teddy sewing pattern (print from home on standard sized printer paper), a course workbook separated into 10 modules, and a 1 hour 20 minute video to help with every step along the way.

About The Design
Inspired by some of the very first teddy bears from over 100 years ago, these teddy bears maintain their historic appearance while incorporating features such as safety eyes and washable wool to bring them into a modern teddy bear world.

skill level
Confident beginners – intermediate sewists will have the skill level needed to make these bears. A visual glossary is included at the beginning of the course to go over any techniques you may or may not be familiar with.

materials needed
High quality, natural materials are suggested for these bears. These bears can be made with a variety of fabrics, but mohair really gives a special look to your teddy. Some other materials, such as safety joints and safety eyes, are needed as well.
What You’ll Need

Fabric
Allow 1/2 yard of fabric for this bear. Mohair is highly recommended. A small amount of felt should be used for the paws.

Notions
Some notions will be required to make these bears, such as 45mm safety joints, safety eyes, and embroidery floss for the nose.

Wool
Wool is the suggested fiberfil to use for these bears. Allow for at least 1lb of wool, the more the better.

The extras
There are a few optional items that will really enhance your bears, such as beeswax thread conditioner, a chalk pencil for tracing, and cotton fusible interfacing. Short 5″ sewing shears are also highly recommended.

Edwardian Era Teddy

The Quiet Life Farm Teddy
bringing back classic heirloom teddies
Embracing The Original Teddy
Inspired by early 20th-century teddy bears, this pattern captures traditional shaping and character while incorporating modern updates for strength and longevity. My goal was to create a teddy bear that carries the same classic charm as those from generations past. I wanted a teddy that could still capture hearts today, just as it did over 100 years ago.
