Ferguson Frog

Surprisingly simple straight needle pattern

This pattern is designed to bring delight to even the beginner knitter, using just four simple stitches (Knit, Purl, K2TOG, and KFB) and straight needles for the entire project. I’ve knitted many different patterns, by many different designers over the years. Because of this, I’ve been able to figure out just what makes a knitting pattern easy to understand and accomplish, and what I wish was included in all knitting patterns! I want you to be able to knit without stress — with easy written out instructions, plenty of “check points” within the patterns, and photographs of the progress along the way!

So many of my knitting patterns are inspired by the quiet life around me — from chicken knitting patterns based off of the chickens pecking around my yard, to hats I’ve designed with my own family in mind to keep us warm during winter farm chores.
